While growing up I was inclined to creative and extra-curricular activities which led me to join one of its kind design schools (Indian Institute of Crafts & Design, Jaipur). This design school was unique, as it was focusing on the handicraft sector, intending to create change agents who would take research and design development ahead and facilitate the traditional skills and techniques to create a better place in the market. I studied product design with a specialization in metal craft. I learned and developed hands-on experience in materials like stone, wood, metal, terracotta, paper and leather and other soft skills.
The work developed my love for travelling, exploring, creating and collecting. I document places, craft processes, artisans and the life stories behind them. I have a collection of more than 2000 matchboxes which I use for various graphical purposes. To keep me motivated I have created a balance between my daily work with any amount of personal creative work. I do doodle, chalk sculpting, embroidery, writing (sometimes) and photography and keep updating it on my Instagram account. In short, I love exploring life around me.
In my work I believe in the process, challenging myself and doing things. Over the years I have understood that everything is a story and if one needs to connect with the user then the story should be interesting and well communicated.
